I didn't really enjoy this book. It was slow to get into, the heroine was flighty and seemed to be completely unchaperoned (which just didn't seem right for a 'lady' in 1895) and the male characters were cardboard cut-outs. It improved, but IMO, it was just OK, and not one I am likely to re-read. There is better Christian fiction out there. The best part was the sermon in the tent revival about half-way through the book - that actually got me thinking!
